Definition

This field specifies the percentage share of the toal response time that is generation processes. It refers to all requests from a particular service, a particular actions, or a particular user to a component. In this case, generation processes are the generation of source code and graphical user interfaces.

Use

Within the DSR, every component measures the time that is taken for the generation processes for the processing of a request. The generation time is stored in the main records, aggregated by the collector, and used for the calculation of the average generation time and the percentage share of the total response time.

Dependencies

Generation processes must be identifiable during the processing of requests.

Example

  • The Internet Transaction Server does not measure generation times in the first version of the DSR.
  • ABAP systems measure times for generation processes.
