Definition

The service object describes the object for which a service order should be created.

For example, material, equipment or functional location.

Use

You enter a service product in this field. A service product is the attribute of a service object as service material. You use service objects in contract processing in order to automatically generate a service order for a sales document item.

Procedure

Enter a material which you have defined as service material in materials management. You should maintain at least the following data, so that the system can automatically generate a service order for a sales document item:

• Basic data view
• Material type DIEN (*)
• Base unit of measure ST (*)

• Sales organization data view
• Delivery plant
• Item category group LEIS (*)

• Plant data view
• Strategy group 84 (*)
