The entry of a construction type in this field has two possible effects:
- If equipment installation is allowed at the functional location, the construction type indicates that only equipment with this material number is to be installed at the functional location.
- If equipment installation is not allowed at the functional location, the construction type indicates that the functional location is one of a series of functional locations of the same kind that are summarized with this material number. This material number might then refer to a bill of material, for example, that is valid for all functional locations containing this material number in their master records.
