The individual summation levels are determined using these totals variants.
Procedure
To change the variants, choose "Totals variant". With this function, you can also group totals variants yourself.
Examples
In a totals variant, you specify that the first totaling criterion is the cost element, the second the document number.
Dependencies
You can specify up to three totaling criteria for each totals variant. You maintain variants in Customizing.

Use
If you want to allow only the installation of equipment that is grouped under a particular construction type at this functional location, enter the construction type in this field.

The entry of a construction type in this field has two possible effects:
- If equipment installation is allowed at the functional location, the construction type indicates that only equipment with this material number is to be installed at the functional location.
- If equipment installation is not allowed at the functional location, the construction type indicates that the functional location is one of a series of functional locations of the same kind that are summarized with this material number. This material number might then refer to a bill of material, for example, that is valid for all functional locations containing this material number in their master records.

- If you want to use exactly one customer-specific area, use screen area '090' and maintain the desired screen in the header data (field V-TQSCR_3-USERSC1).
- If you want to work with several customer-specific subscreens in a notification type, you must use the screen area '091' and in the corresponding field DYN01-5 directly assign the desired screen from the function group XQQM.

Use (Simulation version)
In addition to simulation rules in table form, you can specify a substitution rule for simulating depreciation parmeters. In this way, other depreciation parameters (such as scrap value) can be simulated along with the depreciation key and useful life. The system will use this substitution rule as soon as it finds no appropriate table entry.
If you want the system to always use the substitution, you have to define a simulation variant without rules, with only the specification of a substitution.
Note
No substitution rule is necessary for simple simulation versions. The table fields of the simulation version that define the required simulation rules are sufficient.

By entering a subtype in this field, you can limit the number of records suggested by the system. When a subtype is added, it is placed in the subtype field as a default. The subtype must be valid in accordance with the subtype table specified in table T582A Infotypes - Customer-Specific Settings.

The data/application flow can be divided by the subtype into the main data/application flow (subtype 0001) and an alternative data/application flow (subtype 0002). This is, for example, useful for courses of 2.5 days that last in one case from Monday to Wednesday and in the other case from Wednesday to Friday (to do this, you have to predefine the corresponding start date in each case).
The subtype TEMP refers to a data/application flow defined temporarily that can be entered just for the course to be created during course planning or during the creation of external courses.

For certain absence types, it is necessary or required to enter auxiliary absence data. The option to branch from the info type Absences (P2001) automatically to the info type Auxiliary absence data, is used in the Netherlands, for example. If there should be the option to enter accident data for an absence type, you have to enter the corresponding subtype number in this field.

Supplementary Documentation - SUBTYP 1000
Use
The Subtype field contains a 4-digit code that represents a subtype. Subtypes allow you to categorize the information entered for an infotype.
Subtypes vary from one infotype to another, and they are not used with all infotypes.
The entry in the Infotype field determines the subtypes available for the field.
Procedure
Use this field to identify the subtype you wish to work with (if applicable). To do so either:
- type in the appropriate 4-digit code, or
- request a list of subtypes and make a selection by either:
. pressing F4, or
. clicking on the down arrow
If this field is not applicable, leave it blank.
Supplementary Documentation - SUBTYP 1001
Use
Use the From and To fields to confine an inquiry/report to certain Authority and Resource infotypes. This would be helpful if, for example, you are only interested in reviewing authorities. There are 3 ways you can complete this field:
- Name a single subtype in the From field, for example, 1000. The report documents the specified subtype.
- Name a range of subtypes in the From and To fields, for example, 1000 to 1002. The report documents all subtypes that fall within the specified range.
- Name a list of subtypes, for example, 1000, 1002 to 1004, 1006 to 1007. To do so, click on the right direction arrow. A window appears which allows you to enter a list.
NOTE: To include ALL subtypes in an inquiry/report, leave these fields blank.
Supplementary Documentation - SUBTYP 1002
Use
The Subtype field contains a 4-digit code that represents a subtype. A subtype allows you to categorize the Description you enter, for example, as a general description versus a unique or detailed one.
Procedure
In CREATE mode, use this field to identify the subtype you are developing. To do so either:
- type in the appropriate 4-digit code, or
- request a list of subtypes and make a selection by either:
. pressing F4, or
. clicking on the down arrow
In CHANGE and DISPLAY modes, the system automatically completes the field.
Supplementary Documentation - SUBTYP 1003
Definition
This field contains a code that represents a particular relationship that can exist between objects.
Use
In the Unrelated Objects report, use this field to focus the report on objects that have a specified relationship. For example, you may wish to obtain a list of objects that do not have a certain relationship, such as A003. If you enter A003 in this field, the system produces a list of all objects that do not have this relationship.
NOTE: If the report should instead show all objects that do have this relationship, click on the Display related objects check box.
To complete this field either:
- type in the appropriate relationship code, or
- request a list of relationship codes and make a selection by either:
. pressing F4, or
. clicking on the down arrow
NOTE: If the report should list objects without any relationships, leave the field blank.

Supplementary Documentation - SUBTYP 1009
Use
The Subtype field contains a code that represents a category of health examinations. The categories allow you to distinguish between different types of health examination, for example, between health exclusions and regularly required health exams. (Your enterprise may have other health exam categories.)
Procedure
In CREATE mode, use this field to select a category for the health examination information. To do so either:
- type in the appropriate code, or
- request a list of exam subtypes and make a selection by either:
. pressing F4, or
. clicking once on the down arrow
In CHANGE mode, enter a different code by typing over the existing code, or requesting a list using the methods outlined above.
Supplementary Documentation - SUBTYP 1010
Use
The Subtype field contains a code that represents one of the subtypes, authorities or resources.
The authorities subtype allows you to enter information regarding the authority a position has, for example, the maximum value of purchases a position can authorize.
The resources subtype allows you to identify any special equipment assigned to a position or workplace.
Procedure
In CREATE or CHANGE mode, use this field to identify the type of information you want to work with, authorities or resources. To do so either:
- type in the appropriate code, or
- request a list of subtype codes and make a selection by either:
. pressing F4, or
. clicking on the down arrow
Supplementary Documentation - SUBTYP 1032
Use
The System ID field contains a code that represents a system used to transmit electronic messages.
Procedure
Use this field to identify the system that services the organizational unit you are working with. To do so either:
- type in the appropriate code, or
- retrieve a list of system codes and make a selection by either:
. pressing F4, or
. clicking on the down arrow
Supplementary Documentation - SUBTYP 2000
Use
In the Work Schedule infotype:
This field identifies a work schedule group, which is a grouping of persons based on employee groups and employee subgroups.
Procedure

- type in a code, or
- retrieve a list of groups and make a selection by either:
. pressing F4, or
. clicking on the down arrow

Use
By assigning the subtypes of infotype Special Regulations (0265) to a public service function, the relevant special regulations function will be considered for the personal case.
Both the general decision as to whether the infotype will be used in the function as well as the allocation of subtypes is already given in the standard system.

Use
Enter the subtypes of the Family/Related Person infotype (0021) for those types of family member that you want to be eligible as dependents/beneficiaries in the eligibility rule. Persons with subtypes that you do not specify are automatically ineligible.
Dependencies
You can further restrict eligibility to a subset of persons of a particular subtype by assigning a family member grouping.
