Component of the forecast model within the forecasting, representing the historical level of the forecast model.

Procedure

In the case of both the trend model and the seasonal trend model, the system determines the growth rate using this trend value and uses it also to extrapolate the rate.

The trend value is initially calculated by the system based on the historical values, but the user can also choose to enter it. Subsequently the system extrapolates the trend value at the end of each period using the beta factor.
