Execution Modes

Precondition:

Before you execute this task, you must have generated table size information by running program RBDLSMAP in test mode. You can run the program before the system copy if you export component BDLS before the system copy or refresh. If no table size information is available the program switches to a variant with table names.

  • Single Job Execution

    This option executes program RBDLSMAP using the single batch job SAP_SCTC_RBDLSMAP.

  • If the local server can use more than one batch jobs, choose an option that runs jobs concurrently. These jobs are based on program RBBDLS2LS and their names start with prefix SAP_SCTC_BDLS.

    Additionally, job SAP_SCTC_BDLS_SYNCH is started. After all concurrent jobs have finished, it starts job SAP_SCTC_RBDLSMAP that runs program RBDLSMAP for exceptional objects. Note that all tables with exceptions defined are not processed concurrently.

    Choose between the following options:

    • Concurrent Jobs Based on Table Name
      • The distribution of tables among jobs depends on the prefix of table names
    • Concurrent Jobs Based on Table Size
      • The distribution of tables among jobs depends on the table size.
