Definition
Under normal conditions, a dialog step should be forwarded to the user process immediately after it is requested by the dispatcher work process. In these circumstances, the average wait time in the dispatcher process is a few milliseconds. However, if there is a high utilization of the application server or of the entire system, wait situations arise in the dispatcher queue. Significant response times ( > 1s) can occur. The number of work processes on the application server is another factor in the occurrence of wait times.
