Definition
After a request to the application server for a new dialog step, a queue of requested dialog steps waiting to be processed will eventually form at the dispatching task handler. If there is no queue, the dispatcher waiting time usually is several milliseconds.
The waiting time depends mainly on the number of existing work processes and their availability: if the average response time of all work processes in one application server is considerably increased, the average waiting time is likely to be increased, too.
Response time is the sum of waiting time and dispatched time.
