Definition
The response time of a dialog step comprises the time for the dialog request to the dispatcher work process, dialog processing, completion of the dialog and data transfer to the presentation medium.
Please note that the time required for processing the "presentation -- dispatcher -- presentation" communication step is not taken into account here. In long-distance or low-performacne networks, this step can lead to considerably longer 'subjective' response times.
The response time is usually divided into waiting time and dispatched time.
