Definition
The (idle time) time of a dialog specifies for each dialog step the time not contained in the work process / in the work processes. It is part of the "elapsed" time of the dialog step.
It can be calculated if the following is known
- Number of used work processes per task category
- "Elapsed" time per dialog step
- Response time per dialog step minus waiting time per dialog step (= time in the work process per dialog step).
The idle time then results as the difference of "elapsed" time minus the time in the work process per dialog step.
With idle times per dialog step which are very small compared to the "elapsed" time, the work processes are used to full capacity.
