Documentation
Definition
This indicator shows which category of goods receipt movement type the table entry is. This can have the following features:
- Empty : Movement type already exists in the reference document
- 1: Movement type for goods receipt without document
- 2: Movement type for returns without document
- 3: Movement type for return deliveries for reference document
Use
This indicator is used in the outbound interface for the PDC goods receipt function in SAP Retail Store. It is used to classify goods receipt movement types. In the outbound for goods receipt reference documents a movement type is referenced in every document item. This is possible for the following goods receipt movements:
- Goods receipt for reference document (with order reference)
- Goods receipt for stock transfer delivery
- Putaway for stock transfers
- Return delivery for returns order
For these goods movements, the system accesses the Customizing settings for the movement type using the movement type from the document item and the movement type category EMPTY (or BLANK).
The movement type cannot be determined in this way for the following movement types, as there are no documents in the outbound, for example.
- Goods receipt without document
- Returns without document
- Return deliveries for reference document
These 3 movement types are also downloaded in the Customizing interface and flagged with an indicator from which the system determines which 3 movement types are being used.
If you want to post a goods receipt without a document, the system finds the relevant entry from the Customizing interface for the movement type where you make the posting using 1. By doing this, you receive exactly one entry containing the movement type and the relevant settings. With this movement type, you can go to the Customizing interface for the movement reasons to read the movement reasons.
If you want to post a return without a document, the system finds the relevant entry by searching using movement type category 2. This way, you again receive exactly one entry containing the movement type and the relevant settings. With this movement type, you can access Customizing interface for the movement reasons to read the movement reasons.
If you want to post a return delivery for the reference document, the system finds the relevant entry using the movement type category 3. You can read the movement reasons using the movement type found.
