Definition

The application object aspect divides an application object type into several aspects.

Use

The application object aspect allows you to perform fine-tuned control for an application object type This can be useful if various different instances of the parameters required in Records Management are to be used depending on the internal information for an application object.

Example

You want to create purchase order records. You need to use different record element types, depending on whether the purchase order calls up a master contract or an individual one-off purchase order. In this example, the aspect can be used to distinguish between the two different types of purchase order.
