Definition
A classification parameter classifies the element types of an area.
Classification parameters are predefined by an area, and are assigned values by the user. Classification parameter values are used when creating an element type: An element type is classified by the assignment of one or more classification parameters.
To assign a classification parameter value when creating an element type, proceed as follows:
- Choose "Create".
A dialog box is displayed containing the classification parameter values.
- Select the parameter to which you want to assign values.
A dialog box is displayed containing the possible classification parameter values.
- Select a value.
The system writes the parameter ID, a generated parameter value ID, the parameter value, and the short description in the input fields.
A classification parameter can have any number of values for an element type.
