Search Help Mode
Use
This switch controls how input help is executed. By setting this switch appropriately you can (re)activate search help functions that were active in previous releases.
Note
You must only change this value if SAP Support expressly instructs you to do so.
Input values
- If you want the system to execute input help over the SAP standard search help, set this switch to 2.
In that case, the system displays all available search helps in a selection list.
- If you want the system to execute input help in the mode that was implemented up to release 4.6A, set this switch to 1.
For each object type and user, the system notes what type of input help (search function, structure search, standard search help) you chose, and in future only executes that input help. However, you can change your selection at any time by choosing Other Search Help.
- If you want the system to execute the search help in the mode used up to and including release 4.0B - a selection dialog - set this switch to the value 0.
Standard settings
SAP delivers this switch with the setting 2.
