Definition

This switch controls how the database search for objects is carried out.

The value 0 means that the search is carried out in the logon language only.

The value 1 means that the search is carried out in the logon language. If no objects are found, the system searches for objects in the first language listed in table T778L (Languages Supported). If no objects are found here, the search is carried out in the next language listed and so on. This is the value recommended by SAP and the one that is set in the standard system.

The value 2 means that the search is always carried out in all languages. This search variant is time-consuming. Note: If you initiate a generic search (search string *), the system ignores this switch for performance reasons. All objects are displayed.
