Documentation
Definition
You only assign the Role attribute to fourth-level nodes, to determine the roles for which a task is relevant. Select Valid for specified roles, if you want to assign specific roles to a node.
If the user generates a role-specific view of the Roadmap, a task will only be displayed if the user sets a filter for the role you have assigned. All nodes of a flavor and the roles and subject areas you have assigned are displayed in the overall view of the Roadmap.
You do not assign roles to phases, work packages and activities.
