Definition
The version number of the routing server is obtained during the connection test.
By comparing this to the version number of the SAP routing interface, you can determine whether the programs are compatible (the first figure of the version numbers must be the same).
Depending on the version number of the routing server, further actions may be triggered in order to keep future SAP System Releases downwardly compatible whilst also enabling the use of new functions, if the routing server allows this.
