Display Performance Trace
You use the system to manage the performance trace files. When displaying a peformance trace, the system accesses the current trace file and evaluates it. You cannot specify a trace file for display.
Save Performance Trace
When saving a performance trace file, you can use a system file (with an assigned file name), that is managed by the system, or to choose your own complete trace file name on the application server. If you want to work with system files, do not enter a trace file name. If you decide to manage the saved performance trace files yourself, specify the desired filename that should be used to save the trace file. Note that this obliges you to perform all administration tasks for the saved trace files - you must also remember to delete them.
To differentiate between the performance trace files, you can enter a comment in both cases.
Evaluate Performance Trace
When evaluating a performance trace (Displaying a saved performance trace), the system displays all system files and other information (comment, created at, records from - until, client) that was used for saving the performance trace. You can select one of these system files to evaluate, if you use the system files for your work. You can also delete system files here, if you no longer require the saved traces.
If you manage the performance traces in your own files, you can enter the name of the trace file to be evaluated here. (You cannot delete the trace files that you manage yourself here.)
