Definition
For performance reasons it is advisable to assess only the useful part of the trace. You can limit the the type of trace (SQL trace, enqueue trace, RFC trace, and buffer trace), the users, the objects (tables for SQL trace, lock objects for enqueue trace), the operations (database operations for SQL trace, operations in the lock object for enqueue trace) and the execution time for the statements.
To specify the selection criteria for parameters
- User name,
- Object name and
- Operation,
you can use an exact description or a LIKE pattern and an option. To specify a LIKE pattern, as well as the usual character set you can use the meta character '*' for any character string and '_' for exactly one character. The system displays 'EQ' by default. You can select other options by choosing the 'Options' pushbutton. In doing so, you specify whether the trace records that meet the selection criteria are to be selected or excluded from the selection. The system displays 'Select' by default. If you click on the stoplights, the system displays the option 'Exclude from selection'.
If you choose 'Select', the operator is underlined in green or red.
For the duration you can specify a delimitation in microseconds. By default the system recommends that you select all trace records whose execution time is greater than the comparison value.
By choosing " =>...", you reach the next screen, where you can change the selection criteria as well as specify further criteria.
Initializing the Selection Parameters
The user name is already initialized with the name of the current user.
In the case of SQL traces, the object name is intialized so that the trace records relating to SAP system tables D010*, REPOLOAD, REPOSRC, REPOTEXT, DYNPSOURCE,DYNPLOAD, DYNPTXTLD, and DDLOG are excluded from the selection.
