Definition
Means of grouping publications according to sales aspects.
Use
A publication is always assigned to one division. You can use divisions to organize your sales and distribution processes according to groups of similar products or product lines. This means that the employees who are in charge of order processing and customer service within a division can specialize themselves in a clear area.
Example
If a sales organization sells newspapers and magazines both by means of subscriptions and via wholesalers, each of these distribution channels can be subdivided into the divisions newspapers and magazines.
