Definition
If the restriction of client packages is enabled for a package interface, then you have the option to determine whether you want to grant access to the package interface only for these individual packages (point-to-point) or even additionally for his superpackages within the hierarchy tree.
Use
If the option is checked for a client package, the access to the package interface is restricted to this individual package only. The superpackages within the package hierarchy, for which the use accesses are necessary, need not to be added to the list of client packages.
This setting has the effect that
- there is no risk any more that another package on the different level within the client package hierarchy can access the exposed elements of the package interface.
- no adaption effort is required if the package hierarchy is restructured on the client side.
Uncheck this option for a given client package only if you wish that all superpackages within the overlying package hierarchy are also granted to access the package interface.
