Definition
Contains an eight-digit number that represents an object (an organizational unit, qualification, business event, and so on). This field identifies the second object involved in a relationship.
Use
In create mode, select this field to identify the object you want to create a relationship with. This look-up field allows you to identify the object you want to work with without knowing its object ID.
You can:
- Enter as much of the object abbreviation as you remember
The system produces a list of all objects that match the text. Select an object from the list. - Enter an asterisk
The system lists all objects. Select an object from the list. - Use the matchcode feature
In change and display modes, you may not edit the field.

Use
In Graphics, this field contains the object ID for the new object you are creating.
Use this field to apply an 8-digit number to new objects. To do so, either:
- type in an exclamation mark ! The system automatically applies a unique number to the object, or
- if your enterprise uses an external numbering system, type in an 8-digit number.

Use
Extended object ID for the company or attendee
The object ID can also be determined using the search function. To do this, the user can enter a search string directly into this field (masked, if necessary). The entry * provides a list of all the available companies or attendees of the type entered.
Procedure
Examples
By entering 'Smith' a list is displayed of all the companies or attendees of the required type which contain the string 'Smith' in the identification code or in the long text.

Use
Alphanumeric object ID's of the attending company
This can be alphanumeric, but can only be numeric for HR Planning objects.
