Use
Enter a recipient. If the recipient exists in the address management, you can search for it. To do this, you can call the search help or enter the name generically (with * as the joker).
The format of the recipient address depends on whether the address exists in the address management and which method of communication is used.
- Internal address
Enter the user name or the first name and surname.
- External address from the address management
Enter the first name and surname. The document is sent to the recipient using the corresponding standard communication method.
- External address that is not from the address management
Enter the address in the format that corresponds to the communication method:
- Fax number
- <Country><Number>, where <Country> is an abbreviation for the international dialing code, for example, DE 06227/34-1704.
- Internet address
<Local part>@<Domain>, for example, anton.miller@our.company.com. - Pager/SMS number
<Pager service>:<Number>, for example SMS:+491704456734 - X.400 address
Enter the individual components separated by ";", for example g=anna;s=miller;o=c11;ou1=m000;p=company;a=hp;c=com. - SAP user in another system
<System name>:<Client>:<User name>, for example c11:000:henry.
Input help is available for entering addresses. To call it, choose Goto --> and the required comunication method.
Procedure
Examples
There are various ways in which you can enter names from the address management:
- Enter the complete name or only the first name or surname
- george
All users are listed whose first name is "George". Users with the surname "George" are also listed. - miller
All users called "Miller" are listed. - Generic entry (with * as the joker):
- a* b*
All users are listed whose first name starts with A and surname with B, or whose surname starts with A and first name with B, for example, Anna Brown. - jon*
All users are listed whose first name or surname starts with Jon, for example, Ernest Jones. - pfeif*er
- All users are listed whose first name or surname starts with pfeif and ends with er, for example, Pfeiffer and Pfeifer.
Dependencies
You can assign the corresponding recipient type to the recipients in the adjacent field. If this is not done, a search is started using the possible recipient types (in the sequence: address name, external address in the address management, distribution list, fax number, Internet address, X.400 address, X.500 address, remote SAP name, organizational unit). The search is ended when one or more hits are found for a recipient type or when no hits are found for a recipient type. It is possible that addresses are not found:
Enter, for example, di*. There are two address names containing this character string (for example, Henry Dixon and Diana Miller). They are displayed. The distribution lists with the names Distribution list 1 and Distribution list 2 are not found.
