Use

When active, no service order is generated during non-periodic creation of meter reading orders.

If you select the Meter reading unit field, then this field has no effect, because the order creation for a meter reading unit involves periodic order creation.

Dependencies

This overrides the selected field Gen. serv. ord. (Generate service order). This field is located in customizing for Device management under Meter reading -> Basic settings -> Define control parameters for entering meter reading results.
