Definition
Activity attribute of an IMG function.
Mandatory activities:
The activity must be performed before going live. The SAP standard setting must generally be adapted to meet customer requirements.
Optional activities:
Can be released without performing Customizing activities. You are recommended to check the SAP standard settings. It may be necessary to adjust the standard settings to the customer, depending on requirements.
Nonrequired activities:
Can be released without performing Customizing activities. You do not need to check the SAP standard settings. SAP recommends that you use the standard settings. Adjustments of the standard settings for the customer are rare, and should usually only be made after consultation with an SAP consultant.
Use
When generating the Implementation Guide, you can produce a summary of the configuration activities that have to be processed by selecting the attribute "Mandatory functions".
