Use
The Organizational unit field is a lookup field. It allows you to identify the organizational unit you want to work with.
The unit you select determines how much of an organizational structure you can work with in Simple Maintenance.
To work with an entire structure, select the "root" organizational unit (the first, or top-level, unit in a structure).
To work with a particular branch of a structure, select the top-most unit in the branch of a structure.
Procedure
You can use different methods to lookup organizational units. You can:
- type in as much of the unit abbreviation as you remember and press <Enter>. The system produces a list of all units that match the text. Select a unit from the list.
- type in an asterisk and press <Enter>. The system lists all organizational units. Select a unit from the list.
- type in the object ID of the organizational unit

This field contains an abbreviation of up to 12 characters. The abbreviation represents an individual object, for example, an organizational unit, job, position, or task.
Use
The system automatically inserts the abbreviation of the job you are copying, as a default entry. You do not have to use the default.

Use
Specify location for room
If a location is entered, the room search or bus.event search can be limited to this location. Then, all rooms and therefore all events of this location are taken into account. Matchcode entry is possible.
In the lower function buttons except Create event the entry of a business event location has a limiting effect, that is, the lists are limited to events in this location.
This is not valid if an organizer entered. In this case, the lists are only limited to the organizer not to the location, that means the entry of an organizer has higher priority.
The location can be created hierarchically with relationship 003, all rooms of a lower hierarchy automatically also belong to the higher hierarchy.
Procedure
The hierarchy of the locations can only be created via the transactions PP01 or PP02, not with the data transaction PP31 of Room Reservations Planning.
