Describes the reason for changing mandate status.

Use

The reason code explains why the status of a mandate has been changed. You can choose a reason code when you create or change a mandate.

Example

You have defined the following reason codes for changing to status Locked:

Reason Code    Description

    Choose a reason code

01    Direct debit failed

02    Customer called

03    Customer letter attached

When you change the mandate status to Locked, the default reason code the system chooses for the change depends on the Customizing for reason codes:

• If the reason code for the previous status also exists for the current status, the system continues to use this reason code.
• If the reason code for the previous status does not exist for the current status, the system chooses the empty reason code, which in this example prompts you to choose a reason code.

Customizing

You define the reason codes for changing mandate status in transaction SEPA_RC_CUST.
