Names the internal dictionary structure of the segment.

Use

The segment type is not release-specific, the internal dictionary structure is. In a new release, additional fields can be added, whereby a new version of the segment (new segment definition) is created. The versioning enables you to swap IDocs with releases other than your own.

All SAP segment types begin with E1, all of your own segment types begin with Z1 or a customer prefix, for example, /SAPKUNDE/.
