Definition
This security policy attribute defines the size of the password history.
The password history is evaluated when a user chooses a new password: the system rejects the (re)use of passwords that are stored in the password history.
This prevents the user effectively overriding the Requirement for Regular Password Change.
Only passwords that the user chose (when previously changing the password) are stored in the password history. Passwords assigned by the administrator are not stored in the password history. When the administrator sets passwords, the system does not check whether the password to be set has already been used by the user; otherwise, the administrator could discover the user's previous password in this way.
If the password is set to a new value by the administrator, the user can / must change the password the next time he or she logs on (with the exception of SERVICE/SYSTEM users).

Permissible values: 1 - 100
This security policy attribute replaces profile parameter login/password_history_size.
