NOTE: An organizational plan must contain at least one organizational unit, to work in Quick Setup. If the system detects your plan has no organizational units, the system automatically prompts you to create one.

Procedure

This field is a lookup field that allows you to identify the required organizational unit, without knowing its object ID. There are different lookup methods. You can:

  • Type in as much of the unit abbreviation as you remember and press <Enter>. The system produces a list of all units that match the text. Select a unit from the list.

Use

Object short name for a business event organizer.

Enter the name of a business event organizer here.

The entry is not relevant for the list of free or reserved rooms. However, if you create a room reservation from this list, the name of the organizer is transferred to the data screen.

Similarly, when you choose the function create room reservation, the name of the organizer you entered will be transferred to the data screen. As far as the other pushbuttons are concerned, if you enter a name, the lists output only display room reservations for this particular organizer.

Supplementary Documentation - SEARK 7002

Use

Details of room location

When you enter a business event location, the search for a room or for a room reservation is limited to this location. All rooms and room reservations at this business event location are taken into consideration. You can use the Matchcode feature.

As far as the pushbuttons are concerned, if you enter a business event location, the lists only include room reservations at this particular location. This does not apply if you enter an organizer. An organizer has higher priority that a location, so that the lists include room reservations of an organizer.

You can create a hierarchy of business event locations with the relationship 003, whereby rooms in a lower hierarchy automatically belong to a superior hierarchy.

Procedure

You can only create a hierarchy of locations with transaction PP01 or PP02. You cannot do so using the data transaction PP31 of Room Reservations planning.

Use

Object short text for canteen

Name of kitchen facilities or canteen catering for lunch. You can use the PD Matchcode feature here.

Supplementary Documentation - SEARK 7661

Use

The search term is used to define the quantity of the objects to be chosen without knowledge of the respective object IDs (similar to access path type and access path value).

As a search term, a string is entered, which is checked against the object code (and, if necessary, designation); In this case it is possible to use replacement characters in the search string, where * stands for any character string and + for exactly one character. The character string entered is extended at the end by *; So if, for example, SAP is entered as a search term, the search pattern SAP* is used internally, that is, objects which start with the character string SAP in the identification code are searched for; If *SAP* is entered as a search term, objects are searched for which contain the character string SAP in the identification code or in the description (or in both).

All objects which are recognized as a target word according to the entered search term are displayed in a list and can then be flagged as relevant. All objects marked as relevant are then transferred with their object ID into the table of the object IDs to be chosen.

The search function requires that the plan version and the object type have already been entered. In order to avoid unnecessarily long runtimes during searching, a threshold value can be defined in table T77S0 so that the search is cancelled if the number of data records defined in table was read.

By prefixing the character '>' before the search term, you can branch to the definition of restrictions which should be taken into account for the objects displayed in the selection list.
