Definition

A symbolic destination is the name by which a CPIC connection is identified.

Symbolic destination names are set in the programs that wish to use CPIC connections. A program calls a symbolic destination with the ABAP/4 communication interface instructions. The task handler then starts the connection using the information stored in table TXCOM under the symbolic destination.
