Definition

This reference field creates a link to another screen element.
It is only relevant for the following screen elements:

  • Screen elements with type CURR (currency amount) or QUAN (quantity)

If the screen element is a currency amount, this field contains the name of the currency key field (CUKY) belonging to the amount.

If the screen field is a quantity, the field contains the name of the unit key (UNIT) belonging to the quantity.

If you use an ABAP Dictionary field, the reference field is filled automatically. Its value cannot be changed.

  • Tab title in a tabstrip control

If the screen element is a tab title, the field contains the name of the corresponding subscreen.

  • Pushbutton for Dialog Help

If the screen element is a pushbutton for dialog help, the name of the screen element to which the help information belongs is given here. It is displayed whenever the pushbutton is pressed.
Both screen elements should be directly beside each other in the same line - the pushbutton to the right.

The line with the help information is generated through the label for dialog help. The dialog help text must be stored in the Knowledge Warehouse. The link is created through a link from the property "KnowledgeObject" to the pushbutton for dialog help. You access the properties through the pushbutton "Properties".
