Definition

The format for Dictionary fields is taken unchanged from the ABAP/4 Dictionary. Modifications are not allowed.

For ABAP/4 fields without a reference to the ABAP/4 Dictionary, specify one of the field formats defined in the Dictionary. You cannot use some formats in screens since they cannot be appropriately converted. For a complete list of valid formats, use the possible entries facility.
