Definition
Changes to customizing data are logged in a system by transports. These transports distribute the settings from one system/client into another system/client.
You can also put the current customizing data changes in BC Sets, parallel to the transports, i.e. you can specify the name of a BC Set, into which the table keys from the transport are also copied after the system has saved the changes in a transport request.
Use
You activate and deactivate automatic customizing recording in the BC Set transaction User Settings. Select or deselect Automatic Customizing Recording in the General Settings tab.
Dependencies
Note
The system only records the key values of table entries in transport requests, i.e. the data fields are missing, and only the keys are also put in the specified BC Set. These "Incomplete BC Sets" must be processed further. The transport requests only contain the complete data records when they are released. We recommend that you edit the recorded BC Sets at the same time (or directly afterwards), because the BC Sets will only then contain the same data as the transport request.
You perform this post-processing in the BC Set maintenance transaction SCPR3. Selecting by "Incomplete BC Sets" gets a list of all BC Sets which have been changed by the automatic customizing recording. When you select a BC Sets and switch to change mode, the system reads in the missing data. Save the BC Set, which then contains the customizing data at the time you switched to change mode.
