Definition
You can restrict the overwriting of data when you activate BC Sets, to values in the BC Set which have the Fix attribute. You control this function, per activation, in the Activation Options dialog box.
The following settings are possible:
- 'Overwrite All Data':
The BC Set activation overwrites all data in the system. All non-existent data records are newly created. This is the usual case. - 'Do Not Overwrite Default Values':
The BC Set activation only overwrites data in the system which is flagged as Fix in the BC Set. All non-existent data records (including default values and variables), are newly created. This case is recommended when a BC Set has already been activated, and only changed Fix values are to be imported into a system, without overwriting any default values which may have been changed in the meantime.
