Definition
In one system there may be up to three different versions of a Business Configuration Set:
A = Active version used when a Business Configuration Set is to be
transferred to the source tables.
O = Old version from an upstream system, since changed in the present
system by a modification.
N = New version from an upstream system, after transport or new
release.
The administrator can use Business Configuration Set versions to decide which modifications made in the enterprise should be retained, and which should be overwritten by a new release.
