Definition
The everyday's tool of a stylist used to perform perfect metamorphism of an actor to a vision of delight. That's what makeup is for.
Use
After reposing that should read like: A makeup set is the definition of a common tool a stylist utilizes to represent an actor's character in a simplified manner. Still sounds too inflated? Well, once more for the developers among us: Consider a makeup set an unique identifier to refer to a DDIC type. Now, that sounds bourgeois.
For the record, no matter how you paraphrise it or what it sounds like, this little piece is maybe one of the most important tools you'll find within Screenplay. Can you imagine an address object taking residence on a 3" mobile device screen crushing the edges of it while still unreadable due to a 2 points sized font? Or a zombie movie without considerable scars and frightning empty eyes? You see!
The makeup set assigned to an actor directly is valid throughout all scenes of the location, as long as a scene does not specify an own makeup set for that actor.
Dependencies
Everything depends on it. Not kidding, choosing the correct makeup set is the path to success. Visualization is paramount! You might create your own suiting your needs best or you select one of the preconfigured makeup sets, but remember to keep it simple. We talk about simplyfing complex data here, not exchanging one comlexity by the next. Great makeup-artists only need lipsticks to conjure adorable sunsets in a lover's face! Or so.
