The scale value length determines:

• the length available for input as a scale is created or changed
• the length of the corresponding source values in pricing

Examples

Prices are dependent on the target zip code area, which is determined by the first two digits of the recipient's zip code. In this case, a scale with scale basis 'zip code target area' and scale value length '2' can be created.

Dependencies

• The scale value length can only be given for certain scale bases (zip code and tariff zone, for example).
• You must enter a length before you start to create scale values.
