Definition

The name of an ATC series (also known as a configuration). A series lets you store start parameters for ATC check runs. You can repeat runs using the saved configuration. The ATC also keeps track of the history of findings in the check runs of a series.

If you are on a selection screen, you can enter a series name or range of names to select runs belong to the series.

ATC has a base layer that offers a Meta Data API to specify an execution plan. The base layer offers also a runtime API to process this specification.

In user interfaces, the execution plan appears as a Series Name or Configuration Name.

An application layer creates out of the custom application layer configuration the base layer specification. For reference purposes the application layer can optionally store the name of the application layer configuration in the Meta Data of the base layer.

Use

The base layer uses the name of the application layer configuration for reference purposes. In case the application layer has provided the configuration name then this name will show up in the monitoring tools.
