Documentation
Definition
An ATC series is a sequence of one or more central ATC runs. The ATC maintains a history of each finding in a series.
The series feature makes it possible for you to track individual findings: when a finding first was reported, how long it has been open.
Use
To create a run series or assign a central run to a particular series, enter the name of the series in the Series field.
When a new result in the run series is computed, the ATC compares it to the last result in the same series. Known findings take on the date and time when the finding was first found. New findings are added to the series.
If you do not specify a series name, the ATC automatically assigns each central run to a series of its own.
No ATC run series is created for local ATC runs, those started by developers in transactions such as SE80
or SE09
. In this case the Series field is empty.
If you are at a search screen, entering the name of a series returns the runs that belong to the series.
