Definition

A central check run is a check that is intended to be official, visible to developers, and that can be used for quality statistics and central management of exemptions.

If you unmark this field, then the run is a local run, visible in the ATC Result Browser in transaction SE80.

The result of a central run can be replicated into satellite development systems of this consolidation or quality management system.

To publish the result of a central run to developers as the currently active result, you must also mark the Set to Active Result check box on the start screen. (You can also activate a result after it has been completed from the Result Overview screen in transaction ATC.) And you must replicate the result to satellite development systems, either when you schedule a run or later by replicating a result by hand.

The currently active result is marked with a 'light bulb' icon in the ATC Result Browser in satellite development systems. It is the ATC run that developers should use for checking quality status.

Use

The QM checks all objects of her/his group by starting a central run on the consolidation or quality system.

Dependencies

In the ATC Browser you see all central check runs available in this system. Only one is marked by a yellow bulb. This one is the currently active result. Use it for the list of current findings and for applying for central exemptions for findings.
