Dependencies

This field specifies the reliability of the time values for runtime measurements on the current server. The reliability depends on the following factors:

  • SAP Kernel used: Production SAP systems generally run with an optimized kernel. If a debug kernel is used, the results may differ. Therefore, if the current server runs with a debug kernel, the light is set to yellow. Multiple processor machines:
  • Multiple processor machines: on some platforms, multiple processor machines can show false time values (see SET RUN TIME CLOCK RESOLUTION), if measurements are to be taken with a high level of precision. If the level of precision is high, and the system detects that the current server is a multiple processor machine (and the platform is susceptible to false times), the light is set to yellow. The light is also set to yellow if the system cannot detect the number of processors.

The reliability of the times for multiple processor machines can still be determined if the level of precision is set low, but not if the system runs with a debug kernel.
