Dependencies
This field specifies the reliability of time values for runtime measurements on the current server. The reliability depends on a number of different factors:
- SAP kernel used: Production SAP systems generally operate with an optimized kernel. Using a debug kernel leads to deviating results. Therefore, if the current server is running with a debug kernel, the traffic light is set to yellow
- Multiprocessor systems: On some platforms, the use of multiprocessor machines can result in incorrect time values (see SET RUN TIME CLOCK RESOLUTION), provided the measurements are to be executed with high precision. If high precision is set and the system determines that the current server is a multiprocessor machine and that invalid time values can occur on this platform, the traffic light is set to yellow. If the number processors cannot be determined, the traffic light is yellow too.
By selecting low measurement accuracy, you can ensure the reliability of time values for multiprocessor machines, but not if the system is running with a debug kernel.
