Definition
This value determines the maximum number of hits displayed when you search for documents. If the value is zero the number of hits is not limited at all.
Keep in mind that a lot of memory is needed to display large hit lists. In extreme cases the program could terminate.
You can avoid this happening by restricting the number of hits. Once the maximum number of hits has been reached, no further data is read from the database, which improves the response times.
