Documentation
Definition
The documentation object can be a:
- WinWord file
- WordPro file
- WinHelp file
- HTML file
- SAPscript document (general text)
- KEn document
When you specify files, you must give the complete file name (including path). The files must be in a directory that can be accessed from the SAP System.
Note that the system is also case-sensitive.
Linking WinHelp documentation
Enter the file name without an extension (no .hlp) as the object name. The extension is automatically generated when you access the document.
Example:
Your WinHelp file is called custdocu.hlp. Enter custdocu in the field. In your file, enter sapdoccd.ini (in the WINNT directory) the following lines:
- [SID]
- SID=<system ID>
- docucdD=<docu-directory>
- docucdE=<docu-directory>
Replace <system ID> with the name of your system and replace <docu-directory> with the directory where the WinHelp file is located.
Note that this directory must contain the subdirectory sapcdx (x = language, for example, E = English). The English WinHelp file must be in subdirectory spadcE. The file names for the language-dependent WinHelp files all have the same name, custdocu.hlp.
Linking KEn documentation
When naming KEn info-objects, you must adhere to the following naming convention (this mainly applies to SAP documents):
If the document EXAMPLE is defined with the document type KEn in the System Administration Assistant, you have to define an R/3 link from KEn to other links using the program name = RSRRRSAA and the text = EXAMPLE.
You can continue to use the links defined by SAP in customer systems. For example, if an SAP task is copied to a customer task in a customer system, all attributes of the SAP task are copied, including the documentation object. This means that you can use the documentation object for the customer task without making any changes.
