Definition
Quantity resulting from a situation where the requirement is greater than the available quantity.
Starting from the current storage location stock, the system only takes requirements into account that were created on the basis of the criteria entered in the selection screen when calculating the missing parts quantity. No dynamic availability check is carried out.

If a reorder level has been maintained for the storage location in the material master record, the missing quantity is the portion of the requirements quantity by which warehouse stock would fall below the reorder level.
Example 1
- Warehouse stock: 150 pc
- Reorder level: 100 pc
- Requirements quantity: 70 pc
-> Missing quantity: 20 pc
Example 2
- Warehouse stock: 90 pc
- Reorder level: 100 pc
- Requirements quantity: 70 pc
-> Missing quantity: 70 pc
