Definition
ABAP short dumps are stored in the system for 14 days as standard. If you want to store a short dump for an unlimited length of time, you can use the #Keep/Release# pushbutton in the header of the short dump list to select it. The following values are displayed in the list column of the same name:
- 'C' Standard: The short dump is deleted after 14 days
- 'X' Keep: The short dump is stored indefinitely
- 'R' Release: After it has been locked, the short dump is released and deleted.
You can use this value as a selection criterion to choose the short dumps you want to display.
