Definition

The status signalizes the missing quantity situation at the supply segment taking already created replenishment proposals into account.

Use

  • Red light or indicator 1
    The total missing quantity irrespecive of temporory shortages is greater than zero.
  • Yellow light or indicatort 2
    Only temporary shortages were identified. However, the shortage was not only caused by the stock level falling below the minimum stock level.
  • Green light or indicator 3/>
  • All other cases. Situations where the stock level falls below the minimum stock level temporarily and where a rest quantity is always available are not regarded as critical as this situation is standard for consumption-based supply-to-production, for example.
    This standard situation is as follows: Replenishment is not triggered until the stock level falls below the minimum stock level. However, the replenishment elements inevitably always lie somewhat in the future. This means a temporary shortfall remains after replenishment has been triggered.
