Element from the line structure. This can be a line network, a line, a line segment, a work area, or a group of alternative lines.

Use

If there are elements below an element in the line structure, the line structure is exploded downward. Production supply areas that are relevant for planning are determined from the explosion of the line structure. Control cycles are then selected, based on the production supply areas that have been determined.

When the line structure is used for determining control cycles, components might, under certain circumstances, be determined, which are not installed at the selected element from the line structure.

Possible reasons:

• Several lines or work areas are supplied with components from the same production supply area.
• Control cycles are available in the system for a production supply area, but their components are not installed at the selected element from the line structure at the time of planning.
