Documentation
Definition
If you set the hierarchy activation indicator in the data transfer process, the hierarchy is activated or marked for activation once the update has been successfully performed. If the hierarchy is used in aggregates, you cannot activate it directly; rather, you must flag it for activation with the next relevant change run.
Use
Set the indicator to start activation of the hierarchy (or to mark it for activation) after a successful update.
If the indicator is not set, the hierarchy cannot be activated automatically. In this case you must activate it manually or with another data transfer process that changes the same hierarchy.
